Grange News

And the winners are...

By Marge Bernhardt, CT State Grange Lecturer

  JULY 5, 2012 --

It was great to see so many of you at Let’s Celebrate.  For those who couldn’t make it we started with a very inspirational Church Service followed by a lasagna dinner.  Next we went back upstairs and had our talent and “A Number” Contests.  This type of family fun is what the Grange is all about.

Our Talent Winners were:

1st Place - Jane & Ruel Miller representing New Haven County Pomona

2nd Place - Skip Beebe representing New London County Pomona; and,

3rd Place - Veronica Murteza representing Excelsior Pomona.

The theme of our “A Number” Contest was “A Hall-Mark” moment.  The idea was to mark a moment in time when something happened in your Grange Hall or meeting place.

The winners were:

1st - Excelsior Pomona speaking about the “Lone Granger”.

2nd - New London County Pomona where “George Paints The Grange Hall”; and,

3rd - Mountain County Pomona with “Troubles”
